A "CavaChi" is a dog that is 1/2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (CKCS) and Chihuahua bred together.
WHY? You ask. Well I am in love with Chihuahua's. In love I tell you. I also have long admired the calmness of the Cavaliers.
They are fun loving, and I think largely overlooked. I researched dogs to cross together to enhance the breed and really liked that Chihuahua's have super long life spans and are of course, small.
I had to find just the right Cavalier that would produce me with small enough babies that my 7 lb Chihuahua's could whelp safely.
I looked high and low and found "His Royal Splendor" an AKC registered Tri-colored dog. Oh happy days.
Now, I have had (No, not me personally) 8 litters all together. I have a new girl in the nursery getting ready to whelp any day. I have to tell you that if you are looking for the most outstanding, loving dog that will complete your life the CavaChi's are just that dog. They are extremely loyal and quite endearing. Try one, you'll be glad you did. Then you will want to be on my waiting list for the next litters for a sibling for your first CavaChi. They are quite addicting, it is their personalities that win you and their love that keeps you wanting another. With each breeding brings more exciting babies.
